Day 7: Taronga Zoo and Fleet Foxes

After an exhausting day walking around the gigantic Blue Mountains, we spent the entire next day walking around the zoo. My legs are talking to me.

The zoo was awesome, however. We saw tons of animals from around Australia as well as all over the world. Kangaroos, elephants, Bandicoots and seals were Some of my favorites. We got to ride a cable lift over the entire zoo to get to the ferry back downtown which was easily the best part.
That night was the part of Sydney I was most excited about: the Fleet Foxes concert in the Opera House. Caitlyn and Jay also bought tickets to the concert, so we all ate together at a delicious pizza place close to our college. We ordered the Mykonos pizza in honor of the concert.
The walk up to the opera house is definitely intimidating. It is such an imposing structure. We walked in as the bell for the show to start and got to our seats right as the lights dimmed. A couple hours of mind blowing harmonies later, we walked back out to enjoy our last night in town. The show was easily the best concert I have even seen, not even counting the gorgeous venue it was in.
